Julianne Hough is likely to see her star rise ever further with the release of re-make of the 1984 classic 'Footloose,' the former Billboard Country Chart topper and two-time 'Dancing With The Stars' winner will set the screen alight as main female character Ariel Moore.
Away from the acclaim and the anticipation though - the film comes out in the UK on October 14th 2011 - the cast let their hair down following its premiere on Wednesday (5/10,) with Hough showing off some of the moves that made her a star, whilst even her boyfriend 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest joined in leading to a party guest to compare it to the ending of 'Footloose' itself. "Everybody down there, including Ryan and Julianne, were foot stopping and had their hands up," the source told Us Weekly, "Julianne was so happy because apparently Ryan never dances and this was the exception he made for her, because he was so happy for her."
Hough did indeed admit her delight at her boyfriend's moves too, telling the same publication, "It's like really awkward, but really cute. My brother Derek does a better impression," while the film's other stars were also impressed, with Miles Tellard - who plays Willard - joking, "He's a very good dancer for an average-sized person." Frivolities aside however, the 2011 version has some way to go to match the 1984 original which, despite mixed reviews upon release, grossed over $80 million dollars in the US alone, making a huge star of lead actor Kevin Bacon in the process.
