Ryan Seacrest might've been feeling ill during the latest edition of 'American Idol,' but the host was still a charming presence in front of the camera - if a slightly green-looking one - and managed to carry off his performance with aplomb, even joining the judges Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez in a sing along after just the first number - to 'We Are The Champions.' Yet Seacrest might've been looking green for a different reason, having called out his girlfriend Julianne Hough - who was in attendance - for her apparent attraction towards 'Idol' heart throb Phillip Phillips.
Usa Today reports that Seacrest said of his wife encountering Phillips backstage, "I think she sighed and blushed and said, 'Yummy." The cameras cut to her looking surprised and laughing at the side of the stage. "We'll be having this conversation after the show, darling," her boyfriend said. It was all in good jest though, and after Phillips had performed he referred to the incident, stating "I'm not trying to steal your girl, Ryan."
Rumors were before the show were that Seacrest might not even make it for the live event, with executive producer Nigel Lythgoe having to fill in on the afternoon dress rehearsal. However the star host has never let 'Idol' down before and it proved no different this time round, the man who has recently penned a $30 million deal with the show, doing his best to justify every single bit of that fee.
