Ex-S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara was rushed to hospital last night after being struck by a glass bottle thrown during a concert.

The 29-year-old - who was embroiled in the 2007 Celebrity Big Brother race row - was left with a two-inch head wound after a bottle was thrown at a gig at the Tokyo nightclub in Bradford.

O'Meara had taken to the stage with former bandmates Bradley Mcintosh and Paul Cattermole as they attempt to launch a comeback.

But their reunion was cut short after only 15 minutes when O'Meara collapsed to her knees having been struck on the head by the glass.

Cattermole, 31, helped her of stage as 27-year-old McIntosh yelled at 900-strong crowd: "It takes just one idiot to ruin everybody's night."

He added: "If you are going to throw a glass, throw it at me... you had to spoil it."

O'Meara was treated in hospital and later allowed to return to her London home.

"We were all having a great time until the incident and would like to apologise to fans that our set was cut short", she told the Sun newspaper.

West Yorkshire police said a 20-year-old white man had been arrested and was being questioned about the incident.

O'Meara went into hiding in 2007 out of fear of a public backlash over the alleged bullying of Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother.

The singer, model Danielle Lloyd and reality TV star Jade Goody were accused of racism over their treatment of the Bollywood actress.
