Sacha Baron Cohen wants to make a new comedy based on the true story of Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao offering a reward to marry off his lesbian daughter.
Sacha Baron Cohen is developing a new comedy called 'The Lesbian'.
The 'Borat' funnyman has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to adapt the story of Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao, who recently made global headlines by offering $65 million to any man that succeeded in marrying his lesbian daughter.
Sacha will have a starring role in the risque romp which will be spearheaded by his Four By Two Films production company.
The plot is likely to follow the Hong Kong businessman's daughter, Gigi, who is now is married to her long-term partner following a civil ceremony in France.
The comedian is known for his controversial humour and shocking gags, and his last film 'The Dictator' successfully grossed $175 million for Paramount.
This is the second new project in the pipeline for the 40-year-old actor as he and director Phil Johnston have recently sold an as-yet untitled project to Paramount.
The film is billed as a spoof of iconic British spy James Bond, as the secret agent is forced to go on the run with his moronic long-lost brother, a soccer hooligan.
Sacha will next be seen in a more serious role in musical 'Les Miserables' alongside Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried.
