Salma Hayek - Salma Hayek Was Dedicated To Beauty Line
Salma Hayek gave up her acting career and undertook her beauty empire creation as a ''full-time job''.
Salma Hayek felt creating her first beauty range was a "full-time job".
The Mexican actress - who created Nuance, for sale in 7,000 CVS Pharmacy stores and online, over a period of 10 years - took time off from her film career to work on the collection and believes it celebrates the differences people have.
The mother-of-one said: "I took three years off my acting career to work on this. This is not something that required 14 hours. No baby, this has been a full-time job.
"Beauty is about subtle differences and the Celebration of what you have."
The 44-year-old beauty also confesses she acted like a "crazy Mexican" when dealing with suppliers for the products.
She told WWD: "When you deal with prestige suppliers there are only a couple that make the products for everyone. You are offered the cream that they didn't already offer to Estee Lauder and [L'Oreal].
"For Nuance I am dealing with many, many labs and suppliers who are hungry for the business and who didn't mind some crazy Mexican coming to them over and over and over again asking them to change something."
