Movie actor Antonio Banderas has signed up to play legendary artist Salvador Dali in a new movie about the Spaniard's life.
Clean-shaven Banderas will not be required to grow facial hair to mimic the notoriously moustachioed Dali - a fake one has already been made.
And, in a scoop for the filmmakers of the as-yet-untitled biopic, the DALI FOUNDATION has agreed to allow Dali's paintings to be filmed for the first time.
A movie source says, "Antonio has signed to do the movie and we've already had his moustache made. In full make-up, his resemblance to Dali is uncanny.
"Most of the movie will be shot north of Barcelona because the movie won't let us take the art too far afield."
