Academy award-nominated actress Samantha Morton has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her director fiance Harry Holm.
Morton, who starred in the Hollywood blockbuster Minority Report, is currently filming her new movie Synecdoche ion New York with Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Her publicisit, Karon Maskill, confirmed that Morton and Holm were expecting their first child after becoming engaged last year.
"It is wonderful news," Ms Maskill said. "They are both very excited and looking forward to having their new baby."
The actress has a seven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship and met Holm while filming a music video.
Morton, 30, has starred in a number of independent films as well as critically acclaimed projects.
She has appeared in The Libertine with Johnny Depp and In America written by Jim Sheridan.
Her next movie to hit the screens will be The Golden Age, the sequel to the hit film Elizabeth.
Morton stars as Mary Queen of Scots alongside Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth.
