Sandra Bullock would be the perfect choice to play Wonder Woman in an upcoming movie remake.

Lynda Carter, the actress who played the original superhero in the 70s television series, backs the Oscar-winning beauty to take on the role and dismissed rumours she claimed the 45-year-old star was too old to play her.

She told TV show 'Good Morning LA': "There was an idea that Sandra Bullock would play Wonder Woman and I think it's a great idea.

"She's exactly the kind of personality and somehow it got messed around that I had said she was too old. That's nonsense, it wasn't true. She's strong and feminine. And Wonder Woman has to be accessible."

Plans for the 'Wonder Woman' movie are still in development, and the film has a preliminary release of 2011.

Despite Sandra winning the Best Actress Oscar this year for her performance in 'The Blind Side' - a true life story about American football player Michael Oher - she has no confirmed projects to work on in the near future.
