Kimberley Walsh is ''very loyal'' to her friends.

The Girls Aloud singer is very protective of what she says in public about her pals and bandmates - Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Cheryl Cole - and was especially defensive recently when asked about Cheryl's relationship with her new boyfriend Tre Holloway.

Kimberley said: ''If the question is about you, you can justify or explain the answer yourself. But if you're commenting on a friend's relationship, especially if it's in the early stages, I feel like it's something they should be the ones to talk about, if and when they choose to.

''I'm very loyal. I would never speak about somebody else's business. And the thing is, we're all genuine friends. We know each other so well and we know what each of us would be happy talking about and what things we shouldn't.''

After reuniting last year, the 'Something New' hitmakers are closer than ever and Kimberley, 31, feels so comfortable with the girls that if she was to have a baby with long-time partner Justin Scott during her time with the group, she would still rely on them to ''support'' her.

She added in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine: ''I could definitely have a baby as part of Girls Aloud. The girls would support me because, as much as we put the group first, family is more important than any job. I'm not there yet, though.''
