Sarah Harding is happy she lost out on a role in 'X-Men: First Class' to January Jones.

The Girls Aloud beauty has previously spoken of her disappointment at not getting the part of Emma Frost in the movie prequel despite being called back three times but on reflection Sarah isn't sure if she is ready for Hollywood.

The singer - who has previously starred in 'St Trinians' - said: "I nearly did 'X Men'. I got called back three times but January Jones got the role. I don't know if I would have been ready for it then because it's a bit of a 'home is where the heart is' situation."

Now Sarah - who recently split from her fiance Tom Crane and is set to turn 30 in November - is more confident and would be happy to make the move to Hollywood if it came up.

She said: "I'm entering a whole new chapter and it is scary. Hopefully the best is yet to come. I feel a little bit more at ease with what's going on in my life. I know where my career's at, I know what I want out of life.

"There was nothing stopping me before. I'm just going to carry on as normal doing what I do. I love to perform and entreating whether that's acting, singing or modelling."
