The Dancing With The Stars semi-final ended in controversy last night (16th November 2010) after American R&B singer Brandy was voted off the competition, despite being recognised as one of the most talented dancers. Bristol Palin, the 20-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, survived yet another results show and will take her place in next week's final.
Palin and partner Mark Ballas were placed at the bottom of the leader-board following Monday night's dances, however, she has consistently clawed her way through in recent weeks, and will now face Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey and actor Kyle Massey in the season eleven final. After the announcement was made, BRANDY, who was visibly upset, said, "I don't know how to feel right now, it hasn't processed yet for me", however, her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was gracious in defeat, saying, "Voices count. I love the fact that the show represents the people's choice". BRANDY was later seen crying in the studio.
Judge Bruno Tonioli spoke of his surprise at the decision, and praised BRANDY's recent performances, saying, "I am shocked because last night you delivered a fantastic performance. I am so disappointed! Your freestyle, I was looking forward to see it so much".
