Scarlett Johansson is ''interested'' in portraying Courtney Love in a biopic about the life of Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain.
Scarlett Johansson is interested in playing Courtney Love in a Kurt Cobain biopic.
The 'Iron Man 2' actress says she would be keen to play the part of Kurt's wife in the film, after hearing Courtney herself was interested in her taking on the job.
Scarlett told MTV News: "I know that there is a script. That's as much as I know about it. I'm a big fan of Courtney's and I think she's very, very talented. But I don't know anything about the project.
"It would be a challenge, definitely would be a challenge. I think the idea is interesting and intriguing, but I would have to really wrap my head around it."
A source recently confirmed Courtney's desire for Scarlett to play her in the movie, which has the working title 'All Apologies'.
The insider said: "She is adamant Scarlett will play her. Scarlett is friendly with Frances Bean, her daughter with Kurt."
Courtney recently dismissed rumours she wanted Robert Pattinson to play the Nirvana rocker - who shot himself in April 1994 - in the movie as "stupid".
She said: "Isn't that so stupid, who would cast him? That's just wrong, no offence. I watched the 'Twilight' stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenage girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn't that silly?"
