Rocker Scott Weiland always knew he'd eventually release an album of Christmas songs after watching his family's face light up when he recorded a version of White Christmas with Stone Temple Pilots bandmate Robert Deleo before the duo found fame.
Weiland is perhaps the most unlikely artist to find himself among the stars releasing holiday albums this year (11) but he insists it was something he knew he'd get round to and he's very proud of The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.
He says, "If you last long enough in this business, you have the ability to make the kind of music you want to make. And this is something I've wanted to do for a while.
"Even before I got a record deal, Robert and I recorded a version of White Christmas. We had no money, so we gave it to our families for Christmas. I gave one to my parents, one to my grandparents. They said that was the best present they ever got."
