Sean Bean - Sean Bean And Olivia Colman Lead Royal Television Society Awards
Bean landed the Best Actor trophy for his turn as a transvestite in the Bbc series, while The Iron Lady star Colman picked up the Best Actress honour for her portrayal of a grieving mother in a separate episode of the show.
Colman saw off competition from her Accused co-star Anne-Marie Duff to take the prize.
Detective series Sherlock was also a big winner on the night, garnering awards for Best Drama and Best Drama Writer for creator Steven Moffat.
Director Danny Boyle was handed a special judges' award for his work on the opening ceremony of last year's (12) London Olympic Games.
Coronation Street was named Best Soap for a second consecutive year, while Skyfall star Ben Whishaw's The Hollow Crown won Best Single Drama.
Lena Dunham's Girls was also feted - the show triumphed over Homeland and Danish political hit Borgen to win the International programme prize.
The ceremony took place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
