Kim Kardashian has made her first public appearance, seven weeks after giving birth.

The 32-year-old reality TV star, who welcomed her first child, North, with partner Kanye West in June, made a short video appearance on her mother Kris Jenner's talk show 'Kris', where she admitted she was having too much fun with the tot to leave her house.

She said: ''Hey mom, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new show. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I'm just loving life a little bit too much at home right now.

''But I watch you every single day and you are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just want to say I love you and have an amazing show.''

Kim's surprise appearance was masterminded by Diddy, who set up the video a preview of his new network, Revolt.

Addressing the rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, a tearful Kris said: ''You did make me cry... Thank you Kimmy . . . That made me cry... Thank you Kimmy, thank you Sean.''

Kris also revealed her daughter is loving motherhood and has been ''eating really well and working out and nursing and trying to get back to a happy place''.
