Sean Combs and Alicia Keys held an impromptu rally for U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama at the BET Awards on Tuesday (24Jun08) night.
Combs appeared on stage and chanted "Obama or Die" in a bid to boost the youth vote at the award ceremony, which was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
He told the crowd, "If we all register and vote, we will have the first black president in the history of America."
And Keys also used her time on stage to encourage people to vote for the Democratic candidate. As she picked up her award for Best Female R+B Artist, she announced that black people should erase the word "can't" from their vocabulary.
She told the crowd, "Together we can do anything," before adding, "Obama y'all!"
