Sean Kingston is "feeling a lot better" after his recent jet-ski accident.

The 'Beautiful Girls' hitmaker entered hospital in a critical condition after he struck a bridge connecting Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway in Miami, Florida on May 29, but is now recovering and thanked his fans for their support.

He wrote on twitter: "Feeling alot better! GOD IS GREAT! Thanks for all the prayers and support! Love you ALL!(sic)"

The 21-year-old star took over a week after the accident to be able to breath on his own and walk, but had to stay in the Jackson Memorial Hospital.

A representative said: "Sean is breathing on his own and walked for the first time this morning. Sean Kingston continues to be at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His condition has been upgraded to serious.

"Sean thanks his friends, family and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes."

Celebrity friends gave their support to the star while he was recovering, including Justin Bieber, who worked with him on the hit 'Eenie Meenie'

He wrote: "Got my friend Sean Kingston in my prayers tonight. A true friend and big bro. Please keep him in your prayers tonight as well. (sic)"
