Seann William Scott has entered a treatment facility to address "health and personal issues".
Seann William Scott, the American actor perhaps best known for his role in the 'American Pie' franchise, has checked himself into rehab, reports People Magazine. It is not currently known what prompted the actor's decision or where he is being treated, but his representative said, "Seann William Scott has voluntarily admitted himself for proactive treatment to address health and personal issues. He appreciates the support of his many fans at this time". The actor starred alongside Kevin Smith and Bruce Willis in the 2010 comedy movie 'Cop Out' and recently completed work on the forthcoming movie 'Goon', about a small-town bouncer who is recruited to play for a minor-league hockey team. Despite often being associated with his 'American Pie' character 'Steve Stifler', the 34-year-old recently admitted some reluctance about re-joining the franchise, saying, "I did three of them. I had so much fun and loved the character, but I don't want to be known as that character forever. Now I'm realizing that I probably will be known as that character forever".
Seann William Scott has also had starring roles in the likes of 'Dude, Where's My Car?', 'The Dukes of Hazzard' and in the acclaimed 'Role Models', with PAUL RUDD.
