Former Seinfeld star Michael Richards has been invited to attend a "mock trial" tomorrow (17FEB07), organised by lawyers for black audience members he racially abused last year (06). Richards hit the headlines in November for repeated use of the word "n**ger" during a foul-mouthed tirade aimed at two African-American hecklers at the Laugh Factory in California. Lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents the black audience members, has invited Richards to attend tomorrow's meeting at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. However, Richards is not thought likely to attend the face-to-face event, to which the press have also been invited. Allred tells PageSix.com, "Richards wants this to be a secret meeting, with no public awareness of what happened, and we do not agree."
