Selena Gomez, girlfriend of teen sensation Justin Bieber, returned to the stage for a Good Morning America performance today, following an illness brought on by too much junk food, reports the Daily Mail. Selena Gomez performed hit song 'Who Say' with her band Selena Gomez and The Scene and looked in rude health. Just a week earlier she had been rushed to hospital following an appearance on the JAY LENO Show, complaining of severe headaches and stomach pains, as Contactmusic.com reported last week. She was kept in for tests, but made a full recovery from food poisoning and exhaustion.
She is currently promoting new film Monte Carlo in which she co-stars with Leighton Meester, and she told MTV that Leighton is partly to blame for the illness, as she got Gomez hooked on Nutella: "No more Nutella, Leighton' laughed Gomez, and Leighton replied: "I know, I'm to blame for that.On the whole movie, we had Nutella with everything - Nutella with fruit, Nutella with everything." Monte Carlo hits screens on 1st July, and is billed as a romantic adventure, where Gomez is mistaken for a British heiress. It also features Glee star Cory Monteith.
Gomez went on to say that it's not just Nutella she has a problem with: "I do eat. The problem is I don't eat right. I love everything that's possibly not good for me." Ironically, the Good Morning America performance was sponsored by Burger King, and Gomez was flanked by huge signs for burgers, fries and milkshakes as she sang.
