A man accused of stalking teenage singer Selena Gomez has asked a judge to hand him a permanent restraining order, insisting it's the only way to stop him contacting the star.
Thomas Brodnicki was temporarily ordered to stay away from the Disney actress, and lawyers for the 19 year old returned to a Los Angeles court last month (Nov11) in a bid to extend the ban for three years.
Felony stalking charges against Brodnicki were dismissed after a judge ruled there wasn't sufficient evidence that he intended to carry out a threat to kill Gomez, who is dating Justin Bieber.
After he failed to show up at a hearing on 23 November (11), a judge extended the temporary protection order until 6 January (12) - but now Brodnicki has spoken out, demanding the injunction be made permanent, reports Tmz.com.
He filed a sworn declaration telling the judge, "I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez.
"I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."
