Selma Blair will play a World War I medic in 'Four Saints' - an adaptation of Jean-Pierre Isbouts novel 'Angels in Flanders'.
Selma Blair has signed up to play a World War I medic in 'Four Saints'.
The 38-year-old actress will star alongside Lorena Rincon, Melanie Lynskey and Rhona Mitra in the period movie, which tells the tale of four Women who open a medical dressing station on the Allied front lines during battle.
The project will be directed by Jean-Pierre Isbouts, the writer of the book on which the movie is based 'Angels in Flanders', Variety reports.
He is also writing the adaptation, in what will be his movie debut - although he has previously made documentaries attached to 'The Golden Compass' and 'Valkyrie'.
All of the book's characters are based on real people and Isbouts took seven years to research the original book.
Selma - best known for her role in teen movies 'Scream 2' and 'Cruel Intentions' - has this year starred in a number of projects, including Lisa Kudrow's well-received online comedy show 'Web Therapy'.
