THE Sex Pistols's ANARCHY IN THE UK has been named the most influential track of the seventies.

The 1976 track beat out competition from Queen's smash Bohemian Rhapsody, which came second, in the poll of landmark records by British music magazine Q.

Third place went to Donna Summer's disco classic I FEEL LOVE.

A spokesman for the magazine says, "The seventies are often remembered for disco, flares and platforms.

"The Sex Pistols unleashed themselves on an unsuspecting world, giving birth to a whole new musical movement which will continue to inspire musicians for generations to come."

Other records in the top 10 include T Rex's GET IT ON and PARANOID by Black Sabbath.
