On Tuesday (17Mar15), Boyer's former opponent in the singing competition, Bria Kelly, took to Twitter.com and called on her followers to help her track down the 21 year old, who reportedly stopped attending classes at Southern Illinois University and hadn't communicated with any of her friends for 18 days.

Kelly wrote, "Tess has been missing for weeks and has vanished from social media. Help us #FindTessBoyer."

Kelly's online campaign became a trending topic on Twitter, but editors at GossipCop.com tracked down the 'missing' singer's father, Pastor Roy Boyer, who told them his daughter is "fine" and "not missing", insisting there has been no formal police investigation of a missing person.

Boyer herself took to YouTube.com on Tuesday (16Mar15) to assure fans she was OK by posting a video with the title "#FindYourself".

In the video, she says, "I just wanted to let everybody know I'm completely fine. I'm very safe. I'm not missing. I took a break from social media and from my phone and from different events in my life to completely clean out everything and to get back to where God has purpose for me to go.

"Stop hashtagging #FindTessBoyer because I'm here, but hashtag #FindYourself. Thanks."

Boyer was a standout contestant on last year's (14) season of the Emmy Award-winning talent show. She had the luxury of learning from Usher, Blake Shelton and Latin superstar Shakira after all three judges picked her for their teams.

Boyer was eliminated from the competition after making the top 10.
