Dame Shirley Bassey's glamorous life story will be turned into a small screen film by the Bbc.
Bosses at the broadcasting giant are set to shoot a drama about the Goldfinger legend's meteoric rise to fame from an impoverished childhood in Wales to global superstardom.
The biopic is part of the Bbc's upcoming programming about mixed-race culture in the U.K.
Bassey, who became synonymous with the Bond theme tunes, was born to a Nigerian father and an English mother. She performed in the working class pubs of her hometown Cardiff before making it big.
