Shyne, the once notorious rapper who took the fall when Sean P Diddy Combs was involved in a New York shooting in 1999, is now living in Israel as an Othodox Jew, reports the New York Daily News. The 34-year-old, whose real name is JAMAAL BARROW, is now known as 'Moses Levi', and is currently working on new material.
Speaking about his change of religion and lifestyle, SHYNE said, "All these rules, rules, rules. But you know what you have if you don't have rules? You end up with a bunch of pills in your stomach". The rapper was recently released from prison after serving a ten-year sentence for a shooting in Times Square. P DIDDY was charged with gun possession, but was cleared in the high-profile trial. The one-time 'next big thing' in hip-hop is now studying at a rabbinical school in Israel and is reportedly preparing five new albums.
The 34-year-old will release the first two records, entitled 'Messiah' and 'Gangland' on Def Jam Records, however, he cannot legally enter the US but is planning to appeal the citizenship ruling.
