Sienna Miller has given her support to the campaign to stop animal testing on cosmetics.
The British actress joins a number of high profile celebrities - including Sir Paul McCartney and Kimberly Wyatt - supporting the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) No Cruel Cosmetics initiative which is calling for a ban on animal testing for toiletries and cosmetic products sold in the European Union (EU) to come into effect in 2013 as planned.
Michelle Thew, Chief Executive of the BUAV, said: "We are delighted to have the support of Sienna Miller. It is totally unacceptable for animals to continue to suffer and die in the name of beauty. Please join Sienna and support our No Cruel Cosmetics campaign to end cosmetics testing on animals. Sign our petition to the European Parliament at www.NoCruelCosmetics.org."
There are fears the ban could be put back and vegetarian Paul has been vocal in his opposition to animal testing and any delay.
He said: "Animals should not suffer in the name of beauty. Testing toiletries and cosmetics on animals is cruel and unnecessary. Join me in signing the BUAV's petition to ensure the sale of cruel products in the EU is outlawed by 2013. Say NO to Cruel Cosmetics."
