Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills drastically overhauled her diet after suffering a hernia in a weight-lifting accident.
The former model, who is now pursuing a career as a competitive skier, hurt herself during training and suffered complications including acid reflux and bowel problems, prompting her to alter her eating habits.
She tells Mythrivemag.com, "I probably eat the best I have in twenty-five years. Being a vegan, I have always eaten pretty well, but since getting a hiatus hernia from dead-lifting 125 kilos, I have to eat non-acid-causing foods. Due to the hernia, I have secret acid reflux and a lower esophageal sphincter that no longer works."
Mills goes on to reveal her diet now includes pea and hemp protein shakes for breakfast, and vegan seed-based homemade crumble pizzas.
