Sir Paul McCartney is selling off a replica of the guitar he used to write Beatles ballad YESTERDAY to raise cash for his wife Heather Mills' ADOPT-A-MINEFIELD charity campaign.

The first Paul McCartney Signature 1964 Epiphone Texan, serial number 001, will be auctioned off online at www.charityfolks.com and www.gibson.com from tomorrow (07OCT04).

Another replica will be sold live at a 15 October (04) gala benefiting the Adopt-A-Minefield charity in Los Angeles, at which McCartney and Neil Young will perform.

Both guitars are part 40 hand-made Epiphones, which are being produced by GIBSON GUITAR CORP under McCartney's supervision.
