Snoop Dogg thinks there's a ''mutual love and respect'' between himself and the UK.

The 43-year-old rapper has claimed he has grown to love the country and has Queen Elizabeth to thank for allowing him to perform in the UK, where he was once threatened with expulsion because of past misdemeanors.

He explained: ''When they tried to kick me out of England, the Queen made a comment that her grandbabies loved Snoop Doggy Dogg, and he had done no wrong in the UK, so she gave me permission to be here.''

What's more, the hip-hop icon said he's had an influence on the two princes, William and Harry, both of whom are apparently fans of his distinctive music.

Snoop shared: ''Those grandbabies grew up to be Prince William and Harry, so I had influence on them, and they had influence on their grandmother, which enabled me to get into this beautiful country. They love my music, and it is what it is. There's a mutual love and respect.''

Snoop is also a friend of US president Barack Obama, and has confessed to smoking marijuana in the White House.

He told Observer Magazine: ''(Obama) helped legalise marijuana in (Washington) DC. That was f***ing awesome!''
