Snoop Dogg is working on a film with Richard Kimmel.

The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' rapper - who has appeared in movies 'Starsky & Hutch' as Huggy Bear and 'Bruno' as himself - is good friends with Richard, who is managing partner at Lower East Side Cabaret Club The Box in New York City.

A source told the New York Post Snoop and Richard "have been collaborating on the film, in which Snoop plays the owner of a hot nightclub".

It is not the first time the 'Gin & Juice' hitmaker has wanted to appear on screen, as he once revealed he would like to land a role in US TV series 'True Blood'.

Snoop previously said: "I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I'd be a hell of a vampire, don't you think?

"So what's happenin'? 'True Blood', get at me - Snoop Dogg wants to be a vampire."

He has also starred in his own TV show 'Snoop Dogg's Father Hood' and played himself in 'Entourage' and 'Weeds'.
