Stephen Gately's Will Missing
Stephen Gately's will for his £7.2 million fortune, which was supposed to be unveiled to his family today (29.10.09), cannot be found.
Stephen Gately's will has gone missing.
The Boyzone singer - who died aged 33 from an acute pulmonary oedema, a build-up of fluid in the lungs, at his holiday home in Majorca on October 10 - left behind a £7.2 million fortune and the hunt is now on to find the document, which was supposed to be unveiled to his family today (29.10.09).
His civil partner Andrew Cowles, 32, has been told the will is safe in the hands of a London-based solicitors firm but he doesn't know which solicitor has the copy of the last wishes.
A source close to Andrew told Ireland's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It really is panic stations. They can't locate Stephen's will anywhere. Nobody from The Firm has got in touch with him to say they have it. Everything is up in the air now."
Mark, 29, told BANG Showbiz: "We've seen Boyzone umpteen times over the last few years and we've supported them. But the last time I saw Stephen was about a year ago when we were on a TV show together. It's such a tragedy."
