Horror author Stephen King has given U.S. troops a Christmas boost by handing over $13,000 (GBP8,125) to help soldiers get home for the holidays.
The Misery writer will help 150 service families spend Christmas Day together with his generous cash handout.
The money will benefit the members of the main Army National Reserve in Indiana, who are in training for deployment in Afghanistan in January (10).
