Steven Tyler, Paul Stanley, Lionel Richie, Christina Perri and Roger Daltrey were among the stars who turned out for a special charity event in Los Angeles to honour the doctor who saved their voices.

The singers all attended the Raise Your Voice benefit at the Beverly Hills Hotel to honour famed vocal doctor Dr. Steven Zeitels and to raise money to treat other patients who have lost their voice due to disease or trauma.

Dame Julie Andrews was among a group of Zeitels' former patients who gave a speech in tribute, but she had to send in a video message as she is currently working in Vienna, Austria, and British singer Adele was also unable to attend.

Tyler, Richie, Daltrey and Perri all performed at last Thursday's (24Jan13) event, and the Jar Of Hearts star Perri gave a moving speech describing how Zeitels saved her career when she lost her voice, saying of the medic, "I will do anything Dr. Zeitels wants for the rest of my career because I wouldn't have a career without him."

Other famous faces in the audience included Mel Gibson, Kate Hudson and Tyler's Aerosmith bandmate Tom Hamilton, who was treated by Zeitels as part of his throat cancer battle.
