Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum's dreams came true in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (29Jan13) when the foursome teamed up to tape an upcoming episode of country music cable network Cmt's Crossroads series.
The Fleetwood Mac star joined the Need You Now hitmakers onstage at Sony Pictures Studios and it quickly became apparent she was a big fan of the trio.
She told fans she had spent three months listening to the band's music to prepare for the show and stated, "These songs are amazing. These songs make you feel like you're in love."
The two acts then performed on each other's songs and a cover of Billy Joel's New York State of Mind.
Introducing Nicks' Gold Dust Woman as part of the set, Lady Antebellum star Charles Kelley said, "If you don't know this next song, you suck," and the veteran almost brought Lady Antebellum's pregnant Hillary Scott to tears as she revealed she had gifts for her backstage and then delivered the biggest gift of the night - a duet on her classic track Edge of Seventeen.
Nicks said she rarely performs the tune with anyone else because it is "so personal", but she added, "I'm proud to share it with Lady Antebellum, because they're good enough to do it."
Scott was fighting back tears again moments later after performing Landslide with Nicks, admitting, "It makes me cry every time (I sing it)."
Bandmate Kelley called the classic track "the best song ever".
