Lady GaGa is to play at Barack Obama's inauguration tomorrow (22.01.13).

The 'Born This Way' hitmaker is reportedly being lined up to perform at the private White House ball for the US President's campaign staff members, following in the footsteps of Jay-Z, who headlined the event in 2009.

But beforehand, Beyonce Knowles will sing the American national anthem at the politician's official inauguration, which will take place at the West Front of the US Capitol later today (21.01.13), while Kelly Clarkson will perform 'My Country Tis of Thee' and James Taylor will sing 'America the Beautiful.'

Obama said: ''Vice-President Biden and I are honored to have these wonderfully talented musical artists perform at the Inaugural ceremony. Their music is often at the heart of the American story and speaks to folks across the country.''

Katy Perry has also helped Obama celebrate his latest presidency by performing at a children's concert hosted by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, on Saturday (19.01.13).

The 'Firework' hitmaker donned a tight US-theme outfit for the occasion, where Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Usher, Smokey Robinson, and the cast of 'Glee' also performed.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady said: ''Now, inauguration is a pretty big deal. But I have to tell you that my very favourite part of this entire weekend is being right here with all of you.''
