Hitmakers Stevie Wonder and Mariah Carey are to be recognised at the 2012 Bet Honors for their outstanding contributions to African-American culture.
Each year America's Bet Networks hands out trophies to a handful of extraordinary legends and next year (12) Wonder will pick up the accolade in the musical arts category, while Carey will take home the prize for best entertainer.
Also receiving tributes are renowned poet Maya Angelou for her literary arts achievements and filmmaker Spike Lee for his work in the media.
The star-studded ceremony will be hosted by actress Gabrielle Union and take place at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. on 14 January (12).
