Alicia Keys has become the new face of Parfums Givenchy.

The 'Girl On Fire' singer has scored her first ever beauty contract with the French fashion house's perfume division and will front the campaign for their latest scent, which is due to be unveiled this September.

She said to WWD: ''I'm honored to introduce the world to the newest scent by Givenchy. Givenchy has long been one of the world's most iconic luxury fashion houses, and a personal favourite of mine.''

Alicia joins the likes of Amanda Seyfried, who is the current face of their classic Very Irrésistible scent, Justin Timberlake, who fronted their Play ads, and Uma Thurman, the star of Ange ou Demon Le Secret commercials.

Parfums Givenchy has a long history of using famous faces for its campaigns. In 1958, Hubert de Givenchy made history by asking Hollywood movie star Audrey Hepburn to represent his fragrance, L'Interdit, rather than a conventional model.

The deal marks a new direction for Alicia after her one-year partnership with BlackBerry came to an end in January, concluding her tenure as the telephone brand's global creative director.
