The current line-up of the Allman Brothers Band will bow out as a live act with two October (14) shows at the New York venue they have performed at over 230 times since 1989.

The group has rescheduled four postponed Beacon Theatre shows and added two final concerts on 27 and 28 October.

The Allman Brothers Band were forced to cancel shows at the Beacon in March (14) when Gregg Allman fell ill with pneumonia.

Allman's band formed in 1969 and the current line-up includes Butch and Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, who announced they would be leaving the group following a final tour this year.

Derek Trucks tells Billboard.com, "That's the way for this incarnation of the band to go out, one final, short Beacon run. I think that's appropriate for this version of the group. I think we've done most of our best work there."
