Angelina Jolie doesn't think she's as good a parent as her own mother.

The 'Maleficent' actress - who raises children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with fiancé Brad Pitt - says her late mum Marcheline Bertrand is her role model and couldn't have done a better job at bringing up her and her brother James Haven.

Speaking to Grazia magazine, she said: ''It's hard to think I could be as good a mother as she was. Her whole life was motherhood.''

The 39-year-old star also admitted she prefers to home-school her children because she wants them to have ''a bigger picture of life''.

Meanwhile, last week, Angelina spoke at the summit to end sexual violence in London and she has vowed to keep campaigning forever.

She said: ''I will work on this for as long as I am alive, for as long as it

takes ... This sends a big message around the world. You see how women are treated as second-class citizens and abused.

''This is to say, 'No you can't' and we will, in an organised fashion, come after you.''
