Actress-turned-pop star Ariana Grande has scored her first U.S. album chart number one with her debut release Yours Truly.
The former Victorious star has beaten Nine Inch Nails and Tamar Braxton to the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 138,000 first-week sales.
Grande becomes the first female artist to debut at number one with their first album since Ke$ha took Animal to the top in 2010.
Braxton debuts at two with Love & War and Nine Inch Nails return to the charts at three with Hesitation Marks, their first studio album since 2008.
All three debuts sold more than 100,000 copies in their first week.
John Legend's new album Love in the Future enters the countdown at four and Luke Bryan's former number one, Crash My Party, rounds out the new top five.
The girl power at the top of the album chart extends to the U.S. singles countdown as Katy Perry scores a second week at number one with Roar.
