Pop star Ashley Roberts has praised staff at British mental health charity Mind for supporting her over her brother's schizophrenia diagnosis.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer revealed last year (13) that her younger brother Jayce lives in a care home after struggling with the condition since he was a teenager.

Following the revelation, Roberts received an outpouring of support and she has credited U.K. mental health charity Mind with helping to keep her balanced and deal with the issue.

She tells British magazine Hello!, "He has psychological problems and is living in a special facility, but the last time I saw him he was doing so well. I gave him a big hug and told him I love him. I've reached out to the mental health organisation Mind and it's made me feel that I'm not alone in having a family member going through a psychological problem."
