Rockers Bon Jovi have been given a stern warning about sound levels and curfew times at their upcoming Gillette Stadium concert in Foxboro, Massachusetts after local officials agreed to give the band an extension.

Jon Bon Jovi and his bandmates will hit the stage at the American football mecca with local heroes the J. Geils Band on 20 July (13) and their request to extend a venue curfew from 11.15pm to midnight has been granted by officials at the Foxboro Board of Selectman - but the band will be heavily fined if they don't adhere to the new rules.

The rockers have been told they must turn down the volume at 11.50pm and wrap up 10 minutes later. Town officials will be stationed at the soundboard and outside the stadium with decibel meters to make sure the band is complying with the noise levels deal, and the band will be fined five cents per concertgoer if they run over the new midnight curfew.

If that fails to put an end to the show, officials have threatened to further fine Bon Jovi $1.75 per attendee if the band plays beyond 1am. Gillette Stadium has a capacity of 68,000.
