Former Oasis star Paul 'bonehead' Arthurs has given fans of the band fresh hope of a reunion by insisting frontman Liam Gallagher would jump at the chance to put aside his feud with brother and bandmate Noel for the good of the group.

The guitarist wouldn't necessarily be part of a reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe, but he still thinks it will happen at some point this year (14).

Bonehead recently joined Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye at a tribute gig to the late Charlatans drummer Jon Brookes, and tells Nme.com, "If someone said, 'Here's a field, here's a stage, and here's 200,000 people', I'm sure Liam would jump up and do it, and I don't think it would even take anyone offering him a massive bankroll of money. He'd do it because that's what he loves, that's his passion."

However, brother Noel might not be quite so keen - in a recent interview he said, "We are split up. You've heard that, haven't you? You must’ve heard... Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more. There is no band. So, no, I won't be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won't be in it."
