The frontman of British heavy metal band Black Tongue has been hospitalised in Poland after falling out of the group's tour bus as it was speeding down a motorway.
Singer Alex Teyen, 23, was treated at the roadside before he was admitted to a nearby hospital, but he is not believed to have sustained serious injuries.
A police spokesman has revealed the accident occurred when the rocker drunkenly mistook the exit door for the lavatory and tumbled out of the coach.
Officer Piotr Kaciak is quoted by Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper as saying, "The victim told his colleagues he was going to the toilet. The toilet turned out to be engaged so he opened the bus's door instead and stepped out while the coach was still moving... We suspect he was under the influence of alcohol."
The accident is believed to have occurred this week (beg09Feb15) while the band was travelling to Berlin, Germany following a gig in Warsaw as part of their European tour. The rockers have now axed the rest of the shows, writing in a post on Facebook.com, "Unfortunately had to pull out of the Ashes To Ashes E.U./U.K. run. We will still be making the U.S. portion of the tour and will see you all soon."
