Calvin Harris doesn't like celebrity women.

The 'Summer' hitmaker has confessed he won't be dating any more women who are in the public eye following his split from 23-year-old singer Rita Ora, whom he dated for more than a year, in June.

He said: ''I don't like celebrity women, nah.''

The 30-year-old DJ - who was forced to pull out of his appearance at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow on the weekend following a heart scare - also opened up about his decision to hit back at comments Rita made about their relationship.

The 'How We Do' hitmaker claimed she was ''angry'' after he banned her from performing her song 'I Will Never Let You Down', which he wrote, at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards earlier this year.

Speaking about their public falling out, Calvin told Capital FM: ''You get so many lies stacking up against you, there's a point where you're just like, 'Oh man, I've got to say something'.

''Because it was just like, 'Oh come on, stop it!' So I did that - it didn't really do any good, I probably shouldn't have really done it.''

During a radio interview in August, Rita revealed her former boyfriend had stopped her from performing their song and claimed she wasn't surprised by his ''last minute'' change of heart but admitted it would have been ''nice'' if he'd let her know earlier.

Calvin hit back on Twitter saying: ''You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life (sic)

''But just know I had a damn good reason (sic)''
