Cameron Diaz has unveiled her first shoe collection for Pour La Victoire.
The actress - who was announced as the New York label's art director in 2013 - shot her first ever campaign at the helm of the accessories brand for their Spring/Summer 2014 collection in May and has now released her debut footwear line the women's wear brand offering a range of ''functional'' styles for every wardrobe.
She told Vogue.co.uk: ''I'm such a stickler for shoes and function. And that's what we are getting back to with this line - function.''
''When I'm in New York, I pretty much wear flats. If I get a great pair of heels that I can walk in the city in, I find myself in those heels all the time. Otherwise, if I'm in the city I wear more of a utilitarian boot. But in Los Angeles, because you're in your car all the time, I find myself wearing heels a lot. And I really love a good heeled boot because I move quickly on my feet and I want something that's going to stay on.
''That's why with my Pour La Victoire line you see strappy bits on some shoes. Because functionally you want something that looks good on the foot but stays on the foot and doesn't require a lot of work to do so.''
While the actress has spent years building up her confidence in front of the camera, she has now proved her ability behind the lens and become an asset to the Pour La Victoire design team.
A spokesperson said: ''Cameron Diaz joined Pour La Victoire in 2013 as Artistic Director, bringing her unique point of view, informed by many years in and around the fashion industry.
''Diaz has immersed herself in the design and merchandising process, her unique perspective and keen editorial eye enhancing the company's belief that true style emanates from a place of empowerment and authenticity.''
