Captain America hunk Chris Evans is stepping behind the camera to make his directorial debut on a new independent movie.

The actor will direct and star in 1:30 Train, a movie about two people who fall for each other in a train station.

The story has been penned by Oscar-winning screenwriter Ron Bass, best known for his work on Rain Man and When A Man Loves A Woman.

Work on the project will begin in the autumn (13) after Evans completes work on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
