'Kick Ass 2' star Christopher Mintz-Plasse found it difficult to adjust to fame.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse found it difficult to adjust to fame.
The 24-year-old actor shot to stardom aged 17 in hit comedy 'Superbad' and admits he wasn't equipped to deal with people constantly recognising him.
He told BANG Showbiz: ''At first I was so new to the film industry I didn't know exactly what it was about. It was hectic. One day no one knew me, then the next day everyone knew me, so it took a little bit [of time] to kind of get used to that. People wanted pictures and knew who I was. At the time I was 17, so I was like, 'Oh yay, money!' But I had to understand this was a career and something I want to do. I think I'm now starting to feel comfortable in the film industry.''
The 'Kick-Ass 2' star still finds it difficult to read mean comments on the internet, but is slowly coming to terms with the negativity.
He explained: ''That was hard to get used to. There's so much hate in the world. For 'Superbad', I had so many people online ... I'd click on it and people would be like, 'S**t, s**t, s**t.' But what the f**k are they doing with their lives? I'm kind of getting past that.''
'Kick-Ass 2' is in cinemas now.
