Director Darren Aronofsky is curating a new exhibition of artworks based on the Biblical tale of Noah in celebration of his new movie.

The filmmaker's epic drama Noah, starring Russell Crowe in the title role, is based on the Bible story and Aronofsky is putting together a special show of artworks inspired by the tale to mark the film's upcoming release.

The exhibition, tiled Fountains of the Deep: Visions of Noah and the Flood, will feature 50 artists, including Ugo Rondinone and Karen Kilimnik, and will launch at a gallery in New York City in March (14).

Making Noah into an environmental cause is not going to end well. The essential problem with Hollywood productions is that the writers of these films do very little research. Thus what they churn out is done so merely to entertain. If they can recoup their investment, that's good enough for them. One of the reasons for the success for "The Passion of the Christ" was that is was better researched and was more faithful to the actual events. People are not all stupid. My Noah trilogy was researched over a 9 year period and would have made a much better movie - no matter how politically incorrect. Alas, such is Hollywood and the world of connections today. But just in case: www.thegodprinciplebook.com
